Company name and EU VAT number on registration, checked against VIES.

Serve business customers properly: the module validates the EU VAT number against the official VIES service and uses the result to take VAT off – or keep it on – their orders.

What it does

• VAT mode per customer: automatic (domestic = VAT, outside the EU = no VAT, EU with a valid VAT number = no VAT) or a manual yes / no.
• One-click VIES check from the admin, with the stored result (company name, country, date).
• Shoppers see a green tick or a red cross next to the VAT number at registration and in the checkout; the company name can be filled in with one click.
• The tax rule can only remove VAT – it can never add it.

Good to know: Tax rules differ by country – set them up together with your accountant.
