Honeypot, time trap, link and keyword checks and a rate limit for the stock contact form.

Keeps advertising spam out of the contact form with four filters stacked on top of each other – quietly, without a puzzle for your visitors.

What it does

• Hidden decoy fields and a time trap (a submission that is too fast or too old).
• Content filtering (link shorteners, several links) and one message per minute from the same sender.
• The robot is shown the normal thank-you page, so it never learns it was caught – only the mail is not sent.
• Every layer fails open: on an error the message is let through, so the contact form can never break.

Good to know: Made to sit next to a captcha, not instead of it. With a theme that has no honeypot field it lets everything through.

Works well with

• OCEX Invisible Captcha – Spam protection that needs no puzzle: a honeypot field and a signed time trap. No Google, no badge.
• OCEX Availability – “Request a quote” instead of a price, and a “no longer available” state that keeps the page for SEO and suggests a successor.
• OCEX Guest Downloads – Lets guests check out when the cart holds a download – for shops whose downloads are free documents.

What you get

• The extension package (ocex_formguard-1.0.0.ocmod.zip) for OpenCart 3 – install it under Extensions > Installer.
• One licence covers one shop (multistore included), with 12 months of updates and e-mail support.
