Lets guests check out when the cart holds a download – for shops whose downloads are free documents.

Stock OpenCart switches the guest checkout off as soon as a downloadable product is in the cart. If your downloads are manuals or documents shown on the product page – not purchased digital goods – this small modification lifts that restriction.

What it does

• One OCMOD file; nothing to configure.
• Guests can check out and the PayPal buttons work again, even with documents attached to the products.
• It changes nothing else: the downloads themselves stay as they are.

Good to know: Do not use it in a shop that sells downloadable files: buyers of paid downloads need an account to receive them.

See it in action

Every OCEX extension runs on our public demo store – the pictures come from it, and you can click through the real thing.

Try it on the demo, step by step

Works well with

• OCEX Login Redirect – After signing in the customer returns to the page they came from, not to the account page.
• OCEX Invisible Captcha – Spam protection that needs no puzzle: a honeypot field and a signed time trap. No Google, no badge.
• OCEX Form Guard – Honeypot, time trap, link and keyword checks and a rate limit for the stock contact form.

What you get

• The extension package (ocex_guest_docs-1.0.0.ocmod.zip) for OpenCart 3 – install it under Extensions > Installer.
• One licence covers one shop (multistore included), with 12 months of updates and e-mail support.
• No translatable text
